Class #419 Eliza Takes The Cake!

Cake Page

Step 1
Use a sheet of AG1043 Eliza Full Roses to make the icing for the cake. Measure and cut a piece from the top of the paper, 3 3/4" x 12". [In order to include the whole pattern, I cut this first piece 4.25"]   Trim away the portion underneath the blue ribbons. Set this aside.
Step 2
For the center section of the cake, cut a 3 3/4" x 12" section from the middle of the paper. Cut this carefully into a 6 1/2" wide piece, trimming carefully to preserve the bows on either side of the piece. Again, trim away the paper below the ribbons. Set aside. [Measure 3.25" to the right of center, and 3.25" from the left of center.  Draw a light pencil line at each mark vertically and cut by hand carefully going around the bows.]
Step 3
For the top section of the cake, measure and cut a 3 3/4" x 4" [You should have a 4" X 4" piece]  section of the remaining paper; be sure to center this on the ribbon.
Step 4
From a sheet of AG1052 Pink Paisley, cut one piece 3 3/4" x 12", one piece 3 3/4" x 6 1/2" and one piece 3 3/4" x 4". Adhere the corresponding pieces of Eliza Full Roses paper that you cut our in Step 1 as the icing. The pink paisley paper will show between the scalloped bow areas. Slightly round the top corners of each layer of the cake.
Step 5

Adhere each layers, beginning with the bottom first, to a sheet of AG1053 Lime Swag. Be sure to adhere only the edges of the bottom and middle sections of the cake so that they become the photo pockets.

Step 6

Trim a 1/4" strip from each side of the AG1053 Lime Swag piece. Mount this onto a sheet of AG1048 Blue with Flowers.  Done!

Photo Mat Page

Step 1
Cut two 1" x 12" strips of AG1048 Blue with Flowers.
Step 2
Cut two 1 1/2" strips of AG1043 Eliza Full Roses. Trim one long edge with decorative scissors. Adhere each Blue with Flowers strip onto Eliza Full Roses strips. Adhere these strips to the top and bottom of the background AG1053 Lime Swag paper.
Step 3 & 4

Cut two 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" photo mats from the AG1052 Pink Paisley.

Cut two 5" x 7" mats from the AG1043 Eliza Full Roses. [Cut the 4.75"X6.75 piece of AG1052 for the card first.] Layer the Pink Paisley photo mats on top of the Eliza Full Roses mat. Adhere these centered on the page. [Horizontally]

Step 5
Cut two 2" x 3" pieces of ivory cardstock. Mat these with 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" pieces of AG1045 Tossed Roses and place them centered under each photo mat.
Step 6
Pop out the Eliza die cut, assemble and use foam adhesive to adhere the die cut to the page between the photo mats.

Class #419 Eliza Takes The Cake!

Card

Step 1 & 2

Cut a 5" x 7" piece of AG1048 Blue with Flowers.

Cut a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of AG1052 Pink Paisley. Layer the smaller piece onto the larger.

Step 3
Cut a 4" x 6" piece of ivory cardstock and layer it onto the Pink Paisley.
Step 4
Cut the top two scalloped sections from a sheet of AG1043 Eliza Full Roses. Trim carefully around the sides of the ribbons. On one piece, remove the bow, but not the ribbon.
Step 5

Adhere the straight end of one scalloped section to one end of the card on the back and the other scalloped section to the other end of the card on the back. Position them so when you fold the scallop with the bow, it overlaps the matching spot on the scalloped piece without the bow.
Step 6

Cut a 5" x 7" piece of AG1045 Tossed Roses. [If you don't have enough of the Tossed Roses, any of the Eliza prints would be beautiful.] Use it to cover the back of the card where the scalloped flaps are attached. That way it covers up the blank card stock too.
Done!
