Capture that first snowflake landing on a mitten or a romantic winter walk in the snow with the Eliza Holiday Collection. Class #415 Whistling Winter Winds
Step 1
Cut one sheet of AG1097 Winter Stripes to 12" wide by 7" tall
now cut this paper into 3/4" x 7" strips. Cut one sheet of AG1097 Winter Stripes to 12" wide by 7" tall; now cut this paper into 3/4" x 7" strips. One set of strips should center on the stripes and one set should be made up of the floral vine between the stripes. In the weaving, the stripes will go one direction and the vines the other.
Step 2
Cut an 8" x 8" piece of AG1096 Blue Vines. [Cut horizontal piece first to be used around the top of the gift bag.   You will need the 12" horizontally.]   Use your ruler and pencil to draw a light line 1/2" in from the top and one side of this paper.
Begin your weaving from the corner of these two lines laying a striped strip on direction and a floral strip in the other. Adhere this corner. Continue to place the strips, weaving them as you go and leaving a 1/4" gap between each of the strips.

Step 3
Once the weaving is finished and the pieces are adhered, trim the strips to make the weaving even in case of small errors. Then, trim the AG1096 Blue Vines paper so it is an even space all the way around the weaving; this leaves the Blue Vines paper as a 7 3/4" square. Once the weaving is finished and the pieces are adhered, trim the strips to make the weaving even in case of small errors. [Before adhering the strips, I slid my cutting board under the strips to do the trimming.]   Then, trim the AG1096 Blue Vines paper so it is an even space all the way around the weaving; this leaves the Blue Vines paper as a 7 3/4" square.
Step 4
Cut an 8 1/4" square piece of AG1098 Blue Trees. Layer the AG1096 Blue Vines piece with woven strips onto this and adhere. Cut an 8 1/4" square piece of AG1098 Blue Trees. Layer the AG1096 Blue Vines piece with woven strips onto this and adhere. [Adhere to AG1095 background.]
Step 5
From a second sheet of AG1097 Winter Stripes, cut four strips that center on the stripes, (like you did in step 1 to make the weave). Adhere these 1" from each side of the AG1098 Blue Trees paper to make a border where each strip overlaps at the corners. Overlap, miter them by cutting through both thicknesses from the outside corner to the inside corner of the stripe. Remove excess.

Step 6
Cut the tab off from EM507 tag Adhere it centered on the page at the bottom of the weaved photo mat. Cut the tab off from EM507 tag and adhere it centered on the page at the bottom of the woven photo mat.
Use foam adhesive to attach snow flake die cuts on either side of the tag; remember to layer the details of the design onto the main image with foam adhesive.

Layer this onto the background sheet of AG1096 Blue Vines. Trim the remaining of the second sheet of AG1097 Winter Stripes paper to about 5 1/2" wide. Layer this onto the background sheet of AG1096 Blue Vines.
Step 2
Cut two 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" photo mats from AG1095 Snowflakes. Cut two 5" x 7" photo mats from AG1098 Blue Trees. Adhere the smaller mats to the larger mats and add them to the pages off-center toward the right side. Cut two 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" photo mats from AG1095 Snowflakes. Step 4
Tie the ribbon into a bow through the hole in the tag. Adhere it in place vertically at the top left. Tie the ribbon into a bow through the hole in the tag. Class #415 Whistling Winter Winds
November
Step 1
This bag is made from a whole sheet of AG1098 Blue Trees. Begin by placing the paper face down in front of you, with the company name nearest you. Measure and mark the paper at 1 1/2" down from the top edge and 1 1/2" up from the bottom edge.
Score across the paper at these marks. Fold the top edge down on these score marks.

Measure and mark the paper at 1 1/2" down from the top edge and 1 1/2" up from the bottom edge. Score across the paper at these marks. Fold the top edge down on these score marks.
Step 2
Measure across the paper, beginning at the left side of the paper, at 4", 5 1/2", 9 1/2", and 11"
Score the paper vertically at these marks.
Crease the paper gently at these folds and then lay it flat, face up.

Crease the paper gently at these folds and then lay it flat, face up. (Creasing the paper here means that you will bring the back side of the paper to the back side of the paper.)
Step 3
You will notice that the panels for the front and the back of the bag are 4" wide, with 1 1/2" panels next to them. Score the paper vertically along the center of these 1 1/2" panels (about 3/4" in from the previously scored folds.) Lightly crease these score marks so that they fold in the opposite direction from the previous folds. (In other words, fold the paper at these creases so that the front of the paper is folded to the front of the paper.) Unfold.
Step 4
At the far end of the bag, [Left end.]  there is a 1" wide fold remaining. Apply adhesive to this flap and adhere it behind the first of the 4" wide panels. This leaves you with a rectangular shaped bag. The top of the bag is already folded in and the bottom is open. To close the bottom of the bag, use scissors to cut each of the corners up to the 1 1/2" score line.
Fold in the side flaps, then the front and back flaps. Adhere the folds in place.
Step 5
Add a 1" [This should be 2".] wide strip of AG1096 Blue Vines around the bag, about 2" [This should be 1".]  from the top.
Step 6

Punch two holes in the front and two in the back of the bag. [1" in
from each side with a 1/8" punch.]

Use the ivory ribbon to make handles by knotting it at the ends on the inside of the bag.
Step 7
Use foam adhesive to adhere the die cuts to the front of the bag. Optional tip: You can add hints of glitter or glitter glue to the snowflakes and trees on the bag and the scrapbook page. The little hints of light make the page more festive and fun!
